Trucking services for cargo will soon be easy at Beijing Capital International Airport as a new player, Beijing Airport Trucking Services (BTS), is coming up to the stage.
BTS is jointly owned by Beijing Aviation Ground Services (BGS), Sinotrans Air Transportation Development (Sinotrans Air) and Beijing Changya Aviation Services (Changya). BGS and Sinotrans Air each hold a 37 percent stake in the venture with Changya holding the remaining 26 percent.
With initial investment of US$1.59 million, BTS will provide airport trucking services as well as related logistics services between Beijing and other domestic places.
Leaders from Capital Airport Holding, Sinotrans Group, Beijing Capital International Airport and relevant authorities as well as management representatives of foreign and domestic airlines and freight forwarders attended the opening ceremony.
BGS will participate in the management and operations of BTS. BGS is a joint venture between Capital Airport Holding and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS). Established in 1994, BGS has been providing comprehensive ground handling to 37 foreign and domestic carriers in Beijing.
