CCT container volume in September falls short of August record

CONTAINER throughput of Shenzhen Chiwan Container Terminal (CCT) increased 22 per cent in September this year to 547,000 TEU, which is second only to the highest monthly record set by CCT in August.

CCT had been updating monthly container handling record in two consecutive months from July to August this year. Volume reached 495,000 TEU in July and soared to 550,000 TEU in August, a new monthly record, a CCT statement said.



CCT had altogether handled 4.257 million TEU from January to September this year, the statement added.
