SPANISH forwarder Bofill & Arnan (B&A) has been enhancing its logistics reach in China and will expand further in 2007, said Frank Achouch, director of B&A Group.
"In June 2006, B&A opened its own office in Xiamen, which provides sea and air consolidation to Spain and the rest of the Mediterranean. We also plan to open a Shenzhen branch next year," he said.
Having already opened in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Xiamen and Seoul, and with the Shenzhen branch opening next year, B&A, is now looking to expand into India, starting at Mumbai.
Mr Achouch said the company, the first Spanish forwarder to establish itself in China, moves about 9,000 TEU from Asia to Spain every year, which accounts for 90 per cent of B&A's China westbound cargo.
The company offers weekly consolidation by air and by sea from Asia and China to Barcelona, followed by daily distribution to Mediterranean destinations and southern Europe by company-owned trucks. |
