JCtrans: Would you please make a brief introduction about your company?
Cor Buscop: VCK is founded in 1915. It is a privatly owned middle sized logistics company offering services to the business to business travel industy, airfreight, port logistics and European distribution. Via our own warehouses we arrange European distribution of many diiferent products including the customs clearence under limited fiscale represenation for all Eg countries.
The vat will be diverted to the account of the importers and customers will have a considerable cash flow advantage. Also the Dutch Customs system is fast, relaible and no reasons for delay at the time of entrance in the Port.
Vck can offer competitive ocean and airfreight rates for their customers and other relations.
JCtrans: What are your advantages compared to other companies in logistics area in your country?
Cor Buscop: We work from our owned warehouses with own staff in the warehouses. Staff is trained to take highest care with the cargo. There is excellent knowledge available of custom regulations and EDI track and tracing possibilities are available.
JCtrans: Does financial crisis affect your business?
Cor Buscop:We have been hit as all other forwarders , margins are smaller but we have been able to increase the volumn of the cargo handled and to keep the results within line.
JCtrans: As a mid-sized freight forwarder, how do you keep your performance going up steady?
Cor Buscop: We travel a lot and keep contacts with Clients and Relations world wide. It is our goal to know all our business partners personally and to have short communcation lines with the decisionmakers. Enabling us to make fast and reliable logistical solutions or our clients.

JCtrans: Being engaged in the logistics industry for several years, would you please talk about the situation of logistics industry in your country?
Cor Buscop: Holland is offering high level of logistical service and there is a development that the service providers are getting more involved in upstream and down stream activities. In other words the flow of cargo is longer under their controll and each next step is an opportunity to make money. On the other hand this requires high investments in EDI such as, developing programs and internet requirements.
JCtrans: We know to run a logistics company needs a great deal of work, especially in the increasingly competitive situation. What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

1.Personal relations with clients and relations.
2.Quick reactions times on demands of customers giving them adequate information and competitive prices.
3.Be pro-active in all aspects, know your own limits and do what you promise and promise only what you can.
