JCtrans: Please make a brief introduction about your company.

Oceanlink Logistics Ghana Limited is a Freight Forwarding Company Based in  Ghana with experienced Workers who have worked for many years in the Freight Forwarding industry.

JCtrans:  What are your advantages compared to other companies in logistic area in your country?

Because of the experience that we have in the field, we have good working relation with Custom's Officers and other related authorities that enable us to help our client pay less Duties as compare with other company in Ghana and we also give good advice before the cargo finally arrives in Ghana.

JCtrans:  Dose financial crisis affect your business?

If the need arises for finance we have the capability to deal with it very quickly so is not problem at all.

JCtrans:  As a mid-sized freight forwarder, how do you keep your performance going up steady?

As a freight Company we do study what goes on and we quickly change our style of operation to suit the moment and it help us to stand firm in our business.

I have been a member of JCtrans network for many years and have actually made a lot of investigation about the network that has encourage me to become a member. Also I believed that you can link me up to business rather than my working for it.

JCtrans: What do you expect to gain as a GCP membership?

I expect big business as A GCP Member.

JCtrans:  Being engaged in the logistics industry for several years, would you please talk about the situation of logistic industry in your country?

In the past the Freight Industry was better than this present days, perhaps the global economy crises but it is picking up now. And we do have challenges such as delay of ships at break waters due to congestion at the port and it delay delivery of cargo on time for clients and the Government is also taking the initiative to expand the facilities at the various Port and when it is finally done things will be okay. And the clients do make mistakes by not actually knowing much about the requirement about the goods they bring and when it finally arrive it do cause  delay in the clearance process so we do advise our client before hand the Document required before the cargo arrive in order to help them avoid paying demurrage and other charges.

JCtrans: We know to run a logistics company needs a great deal of work, especially in the increasingly competitive situation. What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?

Ability to help client pay less duty and also the operational charges to customers must be look at in order to keep the Customer in business so he or she keeps doing business with us.
