“Estonian Air is well on track with its restructuring plan, nevertheless it is vital that the chosen path is followed vigorously so that Estonia's national airline is successfully turned into the track of sustainability,” explained Jan Palmér, the CEO of Estonian Air.
“In order to meet the market demand we are currently witnessing, Estonian Air has increased the number of flights to most of its direct destinations like Amsterdam, Brussels, Stockholm, Oslo, Moscow, St Petersburg and Vilnius. Due to uncertain situation in Ukraine we have adjusted our time table on the Tallinn – Kiev route,” added Palmér.
The 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights in the first three months was 94.7 %, an increase of 7.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The regularity was 99.3%, a decrease 0.1 percentage point compared to the same period last year.
In March the regularity and punctuality were 99.1% and 95.8% respectively.
Estonian Air is aiming to provide Estonia with reliable and regular double daily connections to destinations of strategic importance and of substantial demand. Being a small country on the periphery of Europe, Estonia depends on such connections, and Estonian Air is committed to provide these services.
