airBaltic to launch Riga – Poprad, Slovakia

For the upcoming winter season, Latvian airline airBaltic will launch a new route between Riga and Poprad, Slovakia, on 13 December 2014. The route will offer convenient connections between the two cities and beyond to destinations in the Baltic region, Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS countries.

People of Latvia, the Baltic region, Scandinavia, Russia and CIS will have an opportunity to access the beautiful region of High Tatras, a low cost alternative of the Alps. People from the region will benefit from the development of tourism and also convenient access to all places served by airBaltic.”
Ivana Herkelova, CEO of Poprad – Tatry Airport: “In the upcoming winter season the Latvian airline airBaltic will launch a new route between Riga and Poprad - Tatry Airport in Slovakia. The new one-weekly return flights will offer convenient connections between Riga and the High and Low Tatras from and to destinations in the Baltic region, Scandinavia and Russia during the three-year period.”
The service will operate one-weekly return flight on Saturdays. airBaltic passengers will board a Boeing 737-300 aircraft for a flight that will last 1 hour 40 minutes.
