Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo has carried almost 100 show horses from the United States to Amsterdam Schiphol supporting the Florida Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, according to Shipping Gazette.
The merged Franco-Dutch airline was able to carry out the "large-scale effort" deploying freighters from the three airlines from Miami in support of the longest-running equestrian event which is represented by riders from 30 countries, reported the UK's Air Cargo News.
It used two Martinair freighters that accommodated 29 in 11 stalls, and a specially-arranged Air France B747 freighter which carried 55 in 26 stalls. KLM transported 14 in five stalls.
