European commercial aircraft builder Airbus delivered 45 of its narrow and wide-bodied aircraft in September, making a total of 380 for the first nine months of this year, reported Dow Jones Newswires.
The division of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co said it had booked 78 orders last month, bringing total orders for the first nine months to 379, and a net order tally of 328 after excluding order cancellations.
September's orders were boosted by an order for 30 A350 XWB jets from Cathay Pacific Airways on which manufacturing has just started, as well as 19 orders for medium-range A320 planes from German carrier Lufthansa.
