Airbus expects new orders from India in 2011

2010-3-5

Airbus is talking to Indian carriers for new orders to be placed in 2011 and expects India to account for close to 10 percent of its global revenues from the commercial aircraft business in the next four to five years as the country's aviation industry recovers, Dow Jones reported.

"We are in discussions with Indian carriers. I think we will go through the ordering cycle again in 2011," Kiran Rao, Airbus India President, said.

Airbus has a 68 percent market share in India and is closely followed by Boeing.
