Airbus, Boeing wonĄŻt deliver all of 2009 output

2009-2-24

Commercial aircraft builders Airbus and Boeing won't be able to deliver more than half of the aircraft they will produce in 2009, Dow Jones reported.

Giovanni Bisignani, Director-General of the International Air Transport Association was quoted as blaming the credit squeeze that is preventing airlines from obtaining the financing necessary to take delivery of the planes they have ordered.

Bisignani also predicted that international air traffic data for January and February will be worse than the bad figures recorded in December.
