HONG Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has announced new investments in additional facility enhancement projects to further upgrade its facilities.
With the aim of improving the reliability and efficiency of its cargo handling services, Hactl is constructing three canopies, with a total investment of HK$21 million, to enhance protection to cargoes in adverse weather conditions. These three linked canopies, covering 2,192 m2 in total, will be built at the northeastern corner of SuperTerminal 1, further underlining Hactl's commitment to extend its premier services in every aspect. The project is scheduled to complete in the second quarter of 2009.
"We are sensitive to our customers' feedback and needs, and we are dedicated to continuously invest to advance our product. The new canopies and the revamp of the Landside Service Counters are just two of our latest initiatives to upgrade our facilities," said Kenneth Bell, director of service delivery. "We are always looking for ways to do this and doing so to uphold Hong Kong's unique position as a leading air cargo hub."
