India's Amritsar Airport gets 23 bids

The Indian government has received 23 bids from Indian companies and their overseas partners to operate and maintain Amritsar International Airport in the country's northern state of Punjab.

The government had invited bids for commercial operation, maintenance of the terminal building, development and operation of cargo facilities and cityside development of the airport.

Bidders included consortiums led by IVRCL Infrastructure, Larsen & Toubro, Omaxe and Reliance Energy.

GMR Infrastructure, Germany's Fraport, Unitech and Ansal Properties & Infrastructure have also submitted individual bids.
