on Standardizing Naming of the China-funded Enterprises and Institutions Abroad

The responsible commercial sections in all the provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, separately listed cities, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

In order to standardize naming of the China-funded enterprises and institutions abroad, matters of concern are listed as follows:

Naming of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall not violate related laws, regulations or rules, shall not be detrimental to the image and overall interest of our country, shall be in line with the local laws, regulations as well as national and religious customs.

Naming of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall not be detrimental to the other domestic and foreign enterprises or other foreign-funded Chinese enterprises.

Naming of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall not be in the form of ¡°China¡± or ¡°National¡± without the approval of the central government.

Naming of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall be in line with actual business operation.

The name alteration procedure of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall be in line with Article 11 of Announcement 16, 2004 of Ministry of Commerce.

The local name of enterprises (institutions) abroad shall be in line with that in the Approval Certificate.

All the responsible provincial commercial sections shall act accordingly.
