Pakistan reiterated on Monday that it would pursue the proposed multi-billion Iranian gas pipeline project to meet its growing energy requirements.
The comments came days after the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher renewed Washington's opposition to the project.
"Pakistan is aware of the U.S. position on the project but Pakistan would pursue the project as it is feasible," the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam told her weekly news briefing in Islamabad.
She also reiterated Pakistan's opposition to use of force against Iran on the nuclear issue, saying the problem should be resolved through dialogue.
