The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Monday that it will open a Korean fashion store in Paris, possibly in April, to help Korean designers make inroads in the international hub of the fashion industry.
The outlet, the first of its kind, will be in the district of Marais or Sant-Germain-des-Pres, artistic venues with brand stores, big-name designers and galleries, according to a press release by the city government.
Seoul city officials hope the fashion shop will serve as a Korean fashion outpost and attract buyers not only from France but from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The outlet is expected to help Korean designers boost their reputations and partnerships with foreign buyers through fashion exhibitions abroad.
