Dollar climbs above 115 yen in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar climbed up into the lower 115 yen level Monday in Tokyo.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 115.28-31 yen, compared with Friday's 5 p.m. quotes of 114.32-42 yen in New York and 112.70-73 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 113.70 yen and 115.43 yen during the day, changing hands most frequently at 114.40 yen.

At 5 p.m. the euro traded at 1.3500-3503 dollars and 155.66-70 yen against late Friday's 1.3470-3480 dollars and 154.08-18 yen in New York and 1.3407-3410 dollars and 151.13-17 yen in Tokyo.
