IAEA reaches agreement with Iran on clarification of nuclear program
POSTED: 10:51 a.m. EDT, July 14,2007

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reached an agreement with Iran on Tehran's clarification of the pending issues concerning its nuclear program.

The agreement was reached during a visit by an IAEA delegation headed by Olli Heinonen, Deputy Director General for Safeguards of the IAEA, according to an IAEA statement issued on Friday.

The statement said that, during the visit of the delegation on Wednesday and Thursday, Heinonen discussed these issues with Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani.

The two sides agreed to work out a concrete action plan for Iran's clarification of its pending issues and some present safeguard implementation in Iran.
