China's Foreign Ministry Holds Open Day

More than 180 common people visited the building of China's Foreign Ministry on Saturday, the first Open Day of the ministry of this year.
Xinhua News Agency reported that the guests were made up of schoolchildren and civilians interested in foreign affairs.
Newly-appointed Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi gave a warm welcome to the visitors and expressed gratitude for the people's long-lasting supports to the country's diplomatic undertakings.
Liu Jianchao, the ministry's spokesman also took part in the get-together. He explained China's current diplomatic policies to the guests and recalled some memorable experiences during his career. |
