China and India have agreed to work to double trade

Wall Street had a mixed session on Monday after a series of merger and acquisition announcements. The Dow stands at 12,316, while the Nasdaq composite is at 2,452.

India and China have agreed to work to double trade with each other in the next three years. China's president is in India for a four-day visit. India's Prime Minister says the nations will work to raise bilateral trade to 40 billion dollars by 2010.

Mattel is recalling more than 4 million Polly Pocket magnetic play sets. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says three children were hospitalized with serious injuries from swallowing tiny magnets that fell off the toys.

The Wall Street Journal reports that cable giant Comcast is near a deal to offer Walt Disney Company television content to subscribers on demand in certain markets. The Journal says the pact would provide "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" for no additional fee and would also cover programming from ESPN, the Disney Channel and Toon Disney.

Imported models took all 13 spots on the insurance industry's list of safest vehicles this year. That's due mainly to a new requirement that all cars and sport utilities on the list have systems to keep them stable in an emergency.
