The Shanghai International Port (Group) has posted a 4.67 per cent year on year increase in the first quarter throughput to 8.266 million TEU, also announcing a three per cent year on year hike in March volume to 2.963 million TEU.
The figures represent a positive growth for the eight consecutive years since 2007 at what has become the world's biggest container port, but its growth rate has been slowing in the last two years.
