The first call at Lubeck will take place on Thursday 09.01.2014 sailing to St. Petersburg with ETA on Sunday 12.01 and to Helsinki with ETA on Monday 13.01.
Lubeck, on the Baltic Sea coast of Germany, will replace Hamburg in the schedules, offering competitive advantages and improved service. Last call at Hamburg is planned on 18.12.2013
As from January the cargo presently booked via Hamburg on Door terms will be re-routed via Lubeck.
Regular weekly service to/from Lubeck will offer following direct connections and transit times:
East bound transit times:
- Lubeck (Thu) - St. Petersburg (Sun) in 3 days
- Lubeck (Thu) - Helsinki (Mon) in 4 days
West bound transit times:
- St. Petersburg (Thu) - Lubeck (Thu) in 7 days
- Helsinki (Wed) - Lubeck (Thu) in 8 days
- Klaipeda (Tue) - Lubeck (Thu) in 9 days
Lubeck's advantages:

In cooperation with Containerships, private terminal operator Lehmann has developed "CTL Cargo-Terminal Lehmann" to receive Containerships vessels. The terminal is located on the northern banks of the Trave River only a few hundred metres from the A 1 motorway in the direction of Hamburg and Denmark as well as from the A 20 motorway in the direction of Rostock and Kiel.
The change of port in Germany is part of Containerships' strategy to continuously improve its' service in Russian and Finnish markets. Operations in Lubeck will start with one call per week with future plans to add a second weekly call.
