ZPMC expands SE Asia operations into Singapore with new unit

2008-7-13

The world's largest manufacturer of ship-to-shore cranes Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) has set up a spare parts centre in Singapore and effectively its first subsidiary in Southeast Asia.

The new unit has been established to meet the demands of a growing number of customers in the region.

ZPMC has other spare parts centres in Amsterdam and Los Angeles.

Among its numerous clients, ZPMC has supplied more than 60 quay cranes to port operator PSA Singapore since 1995, with more on order as the terminal operator is expanding its domestic operations in the next couple of years, reports Seatrade Asia Maritime News online.
