Following a record-breaking four consecutive months from July to October, Shekou Container Terminal (SCT) set a new high in December, hitting 3.31 million TEU over 12 months, up 28.2 per cent over 2006, according to a company statement.
SCT handled 361,225 TEU in December, achieving 38.1 per cent increase compared with the same month in 2006.
SCT has attracted 19 new services over the year, boosting SCT services to 68, of which 38 are Asian services, 18 European, two African services, eight North-American and two Australian.
