Shekou Container Terminal (SCT) set a new container handling record on December 12 by moving the largest ever number of boxes from and to a single ship.
In the handling of the CSCL Pusan on the China Shipping Container Line service SSXW, SCT handled 7,622 TEU over 4,994 moves within 24 hours and 17 minutes, beating the record of 7,140 TEU over 4,018 moves set when at the docking of the OOCL Atlanta in the Orient Overseas Orient Container Line's service SSXW on January 6, 2006. |
