Eddie Filus has joined Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) as general manager of its liner business development department, based in Dubai.
Filus was deputy managing director for Kuwait-based agency Abdulrahman Bahar & Sons. He has also worked for a variety of shipping companies over the last 30 years including NYK, the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia, John Swire & Sons and P&O Containers.
"Liner agency has been at the core of the ISS business mix since ships started carrying containers in the 1950s," said JON CORNER, ISS Group business development director.
"It remains an important and growing part of our product range and, with the container shipping market rising by 8 percent to 10 percent per annum, and ISS continuing to win new agencies, it will continue to be an important overall contributor to ISS Group performance."
