Airbus wins battle of Dubai as orders pour in

Airbus and Boeing received almost 450 orders and commitments during the Dubai Air Show, led by a 200-unit commitment from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (100-each to the two manufacturers), reported Cargo Facts.

By the close of the show, Airbus had chalked up 343 orders and commitments while Boeing had received 105.

However, while the show was underway, Qantas announced from Sydney that it had ordered 81 aircraft from Boeing, pushing the US manufacturer's total orders and commitments to 186 for the three-day period.
