Tianjin Port reports rise in Oct box traffic

Tianjin Port, based in Northern China, has reported that it handled 5.85 million TEU (20-ft equivalent unit) of containers in the first 10 months of this year, up 20.3 percent year-on-year.

The port said it handled 266.5 million tonnes between January and October, up 22.7 percent year-on-year.

Tianjin Port said it handled container throughput of 620.800 TEU in October, up 18.7 percent year-on-year and also recorded cargo throughput of 26.207 million tonnes in the same month, up 22.4 percent versus a year ago.
