Exports of Heilongjiang's Dongning customs checkpoint to Russia surged 46 per cent to US$1.48 billion in the first nine months of this year, Xinhua reported.
Total import and export value of the China-Russia border town came to $1.56 billion during the nine months, the report said.
Dongning customs handled 200,600 tons of cargo, including 47,100 tons of import cargo and 153,400 tons of export cargo, the report said.
Dongning, located in the southeast part of Heilongjiang, is a national first-class overland customs checkpoint and an important hub along the northeast Asian transportation route, the report added.
