SAS raises stake in Spanair to 100pc for divestment
POSTED: 9:21 a.m. EDT, July 5,2007

SAS has increased its ownership in Spanair to the full 100 per cent in an effort to prepare for divestment.

To facilitate the acquisition, SAS has recently purchased a 5.1 per cent stake from Spanair's minority shareholder, Teinver, to raise SAS's ownership in Spanair to 100 per cent.

This move comes after SAS announced in the middle of last month that it intended to divest Spanair, and that this transaction should be seen as a preparatory step in the process.
