Famous Pacific Shipping's Indonesia's parent, PT Internusa Hasta Buana, has recently received an ISO certification renewal in recognition of its quality standards that mark the NVOCC freight forwarder, the company announced.

FPS Indonesia specialises in ocean freight, expedited airfreight, warehousing and supply chain management. The company was started by PT Internusa Hasta Buana in April 2006 to take charge of the parent's freight forwarding and logistics operations, focussing on marketing ocean freight forwarding and NVOCC services.

Following the recent certification of its partner in the Philippines, FPS's Indonesian parent has won the key ISO 9001:2000 standing from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. A key member of the Famous Pacific Shipping Group, FPS Indonesia has implemented the ISO standards at all of its key offices in the country, including those at Jakarta, Surabaya and Semarang.

By achieving certification, FPS Indonesia has demonstrated that it regularly reviews performance, has established quality objectives and has introduced procedure documents, said a company statement.

Said FPS chairman Iskandar Zulkarnain: "We have worked tirelessly to achieve the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification and it is an important milestone in our development."
