Agility establishes own offices in Australia
POSTED: 9:12 a.m. EDT, July 23,2007

Integrated supply chain solutions provider Agility has announced the expansion of its presence into Australia with the roll out of the Agility brand down under.

This development follows acquisitions in China and the US in the first six months of the year.

Agility has as a result, incorporated LEP International Pty Ltd in Australia and LEP International (NZ) Ltd in New Zealand, and the related project logistics company, Pan Orient Shipping Services Pty Ltd, which trades under the name of AFS Projects and Logistics.

"We will bring a new level of service to customers in Australia and around the world. We also have the network and reach that can help our customers develop their businesses in new markets," said Agility Asia Pacific CEO Wolfgang Hollermann.

The company's Australasian network links its Melbourne headquarters with branches in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. LEP International (NZ) Ltd has offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Pan Orient has a footprint across Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.

Agility has been working with LEP International in both the Australian and New Zealand markets for 60 years. Pan Orient has partnered with Agility on a number of major projects, especially in the mining industry.

"Becoming part of a global logistics company with 450 offices in 100 countries will enhance our service offering to our customers across Australia and New Zealand and provide an opportunity for us to access Agility's substantial customer base and other logistics capabilities," said Agility Australasia managing director Mick Turnbull.
