Volkswagen Group United Kingdom has renewed its warehousing and commercial contract with CEVA Logistics for another five years.
"The Volkswagen Group demands the highest standards and we are delighted to continue our partnership," said CEVA UK managing director Neil Crossthwaite.
Warehousing is run from a purpose-built 64,000-square metre warehouse in Dordon in the Midlands, which the two companies designed together for the start of the contract in April 2002 and where 400 are employed.
In addition, more than 70 CEVA people are located in Volkswagen's Milton Keynes headquarters, working closely with Volkswagen Group Services. CEVA also handles VW's warranty returns and employs another 23 to do that job.
CEVA also operates an overnight spare parts delivery for Volkswagen, Volkswagen CV, Seat, Audi, and Skoda dealers. The two companies have been working together for over 20 years.
CEVA Logistics, formerly known as TNT Logistics, is a global logistics and supply chain management company. It employs 38,000 people and operates a network of 567 warehouses with 7.4 million square metres of space in 26 countries. |
