Envirotainer to increase temperature-controlled container fleet

Providers of temperature-controlled air cargo containers and cold chain management, Envirotainer, is increasing the size of its 3,500-strong temperature-controlled container fleet by more than 10 per cent within the next four weeks to meet further market growth and demand for its equipment and services by the international healthcare sector.
A company statement said by the beginning of July, its RKN t2 fleet will increase by 200 new containers and the firm is also investing in the production of another 175 RAP t2 containers.
Patrick Tobler, vice president operations at Envirotainer, stated: "We are making this significant investment to expand our fleets to cope with demand for Envirotainer's containers from the healthcare industry and from our airline and logistics customers that have developed their own premium cold chain products by incorporating the use of our technology."
Last year, a research by a consulting firm on behalf of Envirotainer the healthcare industry and logistics providers forecast that the volume of temperature sensitive airfreight would grow at 10 per cent per annum for the next five years, the statement said.
Envirotainer launched the first ever active temperature-controlled air cargo container over 10 years ago and has subsequently used its expertise and market leading position to bring new containers and technologies to market. |
