Guangxi to invest US$510m in 9 Beibu Bay terminals

Guangxi plans to invest CNY3.9 billion (US$510 million) to build nine public berths at its three major coastal ports on Beibu Bay, Beihai, Qinzhou and Fangcheng, Xinhua reported.

The nine new berths will handle 31 million tons of additional cargo and 350,000 TEU capacity, the report said.



The nine berths include two 100,000-150,000-tonne bulk cargo berths with total capacity of six million tons in Beihai Tieshan Port, two 50,000-tonne bulk cargo berths with total capacity of eight million tons in Qinzhou port and five berths in Fangcheng port with total capacity of 17 million.
