Former AP Moller-Maersk Boss Founds His Own Company
POSTED: 10:10 a.m. EDT, June 28,2007
Former AP Moller-Maersk boss Jess Soderberg has founded a new shipping company in his own name, reports TradeWinds.

He will leave Maersk in December, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

But 2 days before last week's announcement, he registered J Soderberg Shipping with an initial capital of $451,000.

However, the man himself is keeping silent about the purpose of the firm. As the name of the firm may indicate, Soderberg will probably use his 37 years' experience at Maersk for maritime investments.

He is being replaced by 48-year-old Carlsberg chief Nils Smedegaard.
