CMA CGM commences N Africa Express service (NAFEX)
POSTED: 8:48 a.m. EDT, June 21,2007
CMA CGM has started a North Africa Express service called NAFEX, which links China with Jakarta, Indonesia and Malta.

The service uses seven containerships ranging in size from 2,600-TEU to 3,000-TEU ships, on the following port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Jakarta and Marsaxlokk.

From CMA CGM's central Mediterranean hub of Marsaxlokk, the service will be able to connect with North Africa feeder services covering Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, reports AXS-Alphaliner News.

The service was kicked off on June 13 when the 2,838-TEU CMA CGM Jasmin set sail from Shanghai.
