DHL Express Hungary to construct new facility
POSTED: 8:50 a.m. EDT, May 31,2007
THE Hungarian subsidiary of DHL Express will build a new logistics base near the Fly Balaton airport in S│rmell└k, on the Western side of Lake Balaton.

The 2,400 square metre facility will be constructed by the Hungarian-Irish Cape Clear Aviation Kft for a budget of US$3.24 million. The new site will house DHL's Airbus A300 aircraft, which will allow for faster completion of deliveries.

The local authorities are very glad with the new facility. "That's one small flight for DHL, one giant opportunity for the region," commented Istv│n Ujhelyi, under-secretary of state of the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
