Panalpina China Pearl River Delta and Panalpina Air & Ocean Ltd in Luxembourg have recently teamed up to transport 24 grand touring cars from Luxembourg to Zhuhai on mainland China adjacent to Macau.

The sports cars, including Ferraris, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Maseratis and Corvettes, were taking part in the FIA GT 2007 Championship at the Zhuhai International Circuit, a two-day event that drew 25,000 spectators.

As the official forwarder of the FIA GT Championship, Panalpina arranged two exclusive charter flights for the vehicles aboard B747 freighters between Luxemburg and Macau, followed by onward carriage to Zhuhai.

The FIA GT Championship is one of the three circuit championship races organised by FIA. The valuable racecars are driven by some of the world's best drivers and operated by factory-supported race teams.
