BRAZILIAN commercial aircraft manufacturer Embraer has chosen Menlo Worldwide's Singapore Regional Logistics Hub for service parts warehousing and distribution in the Asia-Pacific region.
Under the terms of the contract, Menlo has established a dedicated, 24/7 operation at its existing logistics centre to respond to Embraer's customers in Asia. The facility is located within Singapore's Airport Logistics Park Free Trade Zone.
"Embraer is aggressively expanding in the Asia Pacific," said Frederico Fleury Curado, executive vice president, Airline Market. "A key component of our value proposition to customers is providing world-class logistics and service parts fulfilment. We are delighted to select Menlo Worldwide for this key role supporting our expansion into Asia and our ongoing service to clients in this region."
Menlo will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of repairable, expendable and structural parts for Embraer's ERJ 145 and the Embraer 170/190 line of commercial jet aircraft. The company will also be in charge of managing transportation for all outbound service parts shipments, incorporating emergency expediting, regular airfreight, surface and ocean modes of transport as well as supply chain visibility, business metrics reporting and performance analysis.
"We are very pleased and proud to join Embraer in the strategic expansion of its commercial aircraft line in Asia and the ongoing support of its customers," said Robert Bianco, president of Menlo Worldwide. "Embraer is a world-class manufacturer and a recognised force in the aircraft industry."
