Members of the Asia-West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA) say they will implement a rate restoration in April.

In a statement, AWATA members said the rate restoration is required to ensure that they are able to continue to provide the service necessary to meet the needs of customers.

The rate restoration of US$200 per TEU will apply to Bills of Lading dated from April 1.

AWATA member lines are: China Shipping, CMA CGM, Delmas, Gold Star, MOL and PIL.
