Chicago's Rockford climbs the rankings
POSTED: 0:22 p.m. EDT, October 7,2007
THE US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), recently released their 2006 All-Cargo Data Ranking Report. Among the climbers was Chicago Rockford International airport (RFD) that jumped three places to 22nd in the cargo airport rankings.

¡°Over the last 10 years, our air cargo operation has experienced significant growth. The community has claimed a niche market opportunity for itself through RFD. The Airport Authority Board of Commissioners, the staff and previous airport directors deserve the lion¡¯s share of the credit for their vision, courage and leadership to undertake the once unthinkable: an economically viable RFD,¡± said executive director Bob O¡¯Brien.
