Ma'anshan Port development gets nod
POSTED: 5:59 p.m. EDT, October 26,2007

The general development plan of Ma'anshan Port has received approval from the Chinese Government.

Based on the plan, Ma'anshan Port will focus on developing energy, raw materials and finished industrial products transportation, domestic and foreign trade container transportation, and tourism passenger transportation.

The port will offer loading, unloading, storage, transhipment, transportation and harbour development, and will be gradually expanded into a comprehensive port that combines modern logistics, commercial trade and tourism.

The development plan involves the Jiangxinzhou Port Area that has a 4,900m-long bank, thus increasing the total bank length of Ma'anshan City, which is ideal for port construction, from 20km to 25km.
