Personnel of Tuapse Commercial Seaport (TMTP) plans to start indefinite strike action from November 4, 2007, the company reports according to AK&M.

Administration of Tuapse and management of Tuapse Commercial Seaport will soon coordinate the list of services to be provided throughout the strike period The personnel will work only 10% of all working time 90%. The purpose of the strike is to raise salaries and tariff rates for TMTP personnel in compliance with growing index of consumer pries from January 1, 2005 till January 1, 2007.

Tuapse Commercial Seaport OJSC is the main operator in the port of Tuapse. The company’s throughput exceeds 20 million tonnes per year including 14.5 million tonnes of oil products, 5.5 million tonnes of dry cargo. In January-September 2007, the company’s revenue under RAS totaled RUR 1.6 billion, net profit – RUR 715 million.
