SCT to become safer and greener terminal
POSTED: 11:15 a.m. EDT, October 2,2007

SCT is also planning to register and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14000 to build a "green terminal" and encourage business partners to jointly create a green logistic chain.

SCT has been holding talks with global companies such as LRQA and BV to gleam advice on putting this goal into practice. SCT is also recruiting experienced staff to take care of environmental issues at the port. Furthermore, SCT is encouraging other business partners to be more concerned about their impact on the environment and inviting interested parties to join the green campaign to create a green global logistics supply chain.
