Senator Lines launches new Far East-Middle East service
POSTED: 5:25 p.m. EDT, October 23,2007

The first westbound departure of the FMS service will be on November 10th from Pusan by the 2,000 TEU Hanjin Portadelaide. The first eastbound voyage will start with the same vessel on November 26th from Khorfakkan.

The full port rotation for the new FMS service will be: Pusan > Shanghai > Chiwan > Singapore > Khorfakkan > Jebel Ali > Karachi > Singapore > Chiwan > Pusan.

Westbound transit times will be eighteen days from Pusan to Jebel Ali, and eastbound nineteen days from Jebel Ali to Shanghai.

Senator Lines recently tested the Asia-Middle East route by providing its customers slots on the singular extra loader roundtrip of the Hanjin Northern Fortune, featuring similar calling ports as the new liner service.

According to Senator Lines CEO Hans-Hermann Mohr, the new FMS service is an excellent way of reacting to the latest market developments and of matching additional shipping capacity with cargo volumes.

The new service is also in line with Senator¡¯s strategy to focus on the most profitable markets.
