CHINA Southern Airlines has officially launched an online cargo system called "Tang", following a successful trial period at its Dalian branch, Xinhua News Agency reports.
Tang connects the computer systems of all of China Southern's branches with those of its freight forwarders and clients in a bid to create a door-to-door cargo delivery service.
Users of the portal can also click onto the e-Cargo section of China Southern's website for the real-time updates of their cargo's status at www.cs-air.com
At present, only corporate users have access to the system, but personal users still can track the position of their cargo via their freight forwarders or China Southern's Dalian office, the report said.
