The integration of Schenker and BAX Global was finalised in Hong Kong and Macau at the beginning of June, following a highly publicised merger.
Now that the final phase of integration has been completed, the new company will trade in both places as Schenker International (HK) and Schenker International (Macau).
"This marks another successful milestone in China's integration process," said Andrew Jillings, CEO of the joint Schenker-BAX operation in China. "Our teams are successfully overcoming the merger challenges."
Schenker in Hong Kong and Macau now have a total work force of 1,100. The Hong Kong logistics facilities boast a capacity of over 100,000 square metres in six centres - all TAPA-certified.
Worldwide, Schenker and BAX Global are continuing the process of integrating their combined 1,500 locations in 150 countries. Schenker is a part of DB Logistics, the transportation and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG. |
