General Motors Certifies Autobytel's Web Control System for New GM OneSource
POSTED: 11:45 a.m. EDT, February 20,2007

Autobytel Inc. (Nasdaq:ABTL), a leading automotive Internet marketing services company, today announced that its customer management system, Web Control(R), is certified for General Motors' GM OneSource, enabling integration between the two lead management tools. Several hundred GM dealers already use Web Control for efficient customer management throughout the purchase process.

GM OneSource provides GM dealers with access to all GM leads from multiple sources in a single place and format. As a certified provider for GM OneSource, Autobytel's Web Control system can facilitate consolidated reporting and easier customer management for GM dealers by integrating customer and prospect data directly into GM OneSource. The efficiencies resulting from this integration should enable dealers to increase the number of leads they manage and provide them with more time to focus on marketing and selling more cars.

"With two out of three car-buyers going online these days, it is critical that dealers have the proper tools in place to handle the multitude of online leads they receive," said Jim Riesenbach, president and CEO, Autobytel Inc. "In fact, industry research shows that dealerships who use customer management systems perform much better than their competitors.(1) We are pleased to have the opportunity to support GM in its mission to ensure that all GM dealers have access to the tools that will help them sell more cars, more efficiently."

The Web Control system received the certification after a rigorous testing process that ensured Autobytel met all of GM's criteria and standards. Autobytel's Web Control system has received several manufacturer certifications. The Web Control system spans the sales lifecycle, managing everything from third party phone leads to driver's license scans that feed directly into the dealership's system. The product also has a specialized de-duplication feature that automatically associates and flags duplicate leads that come in through multiple sources, preventing a multitude of lead ownership issues down the road.

GM OneSource is the latest addition to the GM Certified Internet Dealer Program, a complete suite of tools and services that enables specially trained dealership employees to better address the needs of online shoppers. GM is requiring all dealers to participate in the new program and they must complete GM OneSource training to access GM OneSource.
