Wuhan to gain national standard status for logistics park
POSTED: 9:15 a.m. EDT, April 23,2007

The Hubei Federation of Logistics & Purchasing recently signed a co-operation agreement with Wuhan Gaoqiao Industrial Park to establish a logistics information platform. This would turn the industrial park into a national-status facility, Xinhua reports.

China's Ministry of Railways has also earmarked the industrial park to become a railway container hub for the nation.

The Gaoqiao Industrial Park currently has 78 users, most of which are logistics companies specialising in the automobile parts industry, including Wuhan Wanguo, Beijing Hyundai and Japan's FTW. The Wuhan Bonded Logistics Centre is also located within the industrial park.

Earlier this year, the Gaoqiao Industrial Park signed a co-operation agreement with four South Korean companies to build the Wuhan South Korea Logistics Park within the industrial complex, the report added.
